Sleepy Boy

Every time I go into Kevin's room at night, this is what I find. We call it stinkbug position. I don't see how he thinks this is comfortable, but he must, because he is always sleeping like this. Crazy cute boy!!

Outfit Search Succesful

Why is it SO hard to find good boy clothes when there is a WHOLE freakin' wing in every store DEDICATED to girl clothes. I have spoken with several other moms about this and they too agree, even the ones with girls agree with me. Someone should write a letter. Just kidding.
So because of the above dilema, we never did find Kevin a cute new easter outfit (not that he really needs a sunday outfit to be able to celebrate Easter, but he desperately needed new church clothes). So while in Arizona we found a cute little outfit all clearanced for us at Target. YEAH.
I didn't think that it would fit him because it is a 24 month size, but it is PERFECT, I mean just look at him.
We even got "new" church shoes from Aunt Coco that also fit perfect.
...as soon as we got him all ready he was so excited to go to church, which was kind of sad because it was only 10:00 and church is at 11:00.
He cried at the door cuz he just wanted to go!!

My Hair Needs Scissors

"I need a haircut Mom!!"
"Look at my hair it is SO SO SO LONG!!" (almost 4 inches to be exact).
"Oh Mom that is so much better thank you... now I won't be so hot when summer comes."

Arizona Trip

We went to Arizona for a job interview and while we were there we took advantage of the HUGE malls, and while we were there we ate at the food court. Kevin got a corn dog and LOVED it. He did really good with it too. It's funny the things we see as accomplishments as parents.
We stopped at the pet store too, which needless to say Kevin also loved. He really likes doggies so it was a blast to see his face light up.

Adam and I went on a date on Tuesday (the first in a while) we shared something at P.F. Changs, then went to Golfland to play a few video games. It was tons of fun. We need to do that more often.

April Fools Day INDEED

As many mothers know, the baby in the house is often the source one uses as an alarm clock. Gone are the days of my annoying cell phone beeping at me (because No, I don't have to be up before my son in order to get ready for work). So as you might know I have grown quite accustom to whining noises, or crib shaking sounds to get me out of my nice warm, comfortable bed.
Well this morning has been quite different. It must be April Fools Day. I battled all night with my husbands SNORING sounds (he is a little stuffed up right now), and though I got a decent nights sleep, I woke to the sounds of thunder like breathing next to me, and although it was NOT early by any means, I still have a long day ahead of me and do NOT have time for a nap which means this pregnant lady likes to take advantage of every moment of shut eye she can. So after numerous attempts to silence the thunder, I finally decided to get up and eat.
Eating is also SUCH a CHORE for me lately. Especially breakfast, I absolutely hate trying to decide what to put into my body after an 8 hour fast (or longer). So the one thing that gives me enough energy for my day oddly enough is the one thing I cannot stomach. EGGS. So while lying in bed this morning to my surprise guess what Ashley craves. Fried eggs. It must be April Fools Day.
Now on those rare occasions where I get out of bed before my "alarm clock" sounds, one little movement from me or the sound of me going downstairs alerts the "alarm clock" that he should have been up hours ago and I don't even get half way down the stairs before he lets me know he too is ready to start his day. But as I sit here typing this post, I have already fried my eggs, toasted my toast, chowed down and had two glasses of water. I made it almost all the way through my post before Kevin decided to wake up. It really MUST be April Fools Day.
I'm okay with it though, I am feeling fine about this April day.
