Luke is 6 months
You started sitting up about 4 days ago. You are still a little wobbly and still fall over a ton...
We love your chunky cheeks!!
You have the bluest eyes and your head is PERFECTLY round with blondey blonde hair. Everyone comments on how bald you are but I get to look at you closely when I feed you and I know you DO have hair, it's just super light. This picture proves you have some... even if it is wispy.
You have a little cough right now but it is getting better every day with the help of our herbs and oils!!
You smile all day long... but when you see Mommy you give us these kind of grins. I can't help but feel so so special that you love me so much. Let's hope that never changes.
Your big brother Kevin used to do this curly thing with his tongue too. His 6 month pictures are full shots like this. You guys look a lot alike. You love him so much and smile almost as big when you see him as you do when you see Mom.
You LOVE your blankets. Out of all my babies you are the one who puts your hands in your mouth the most. You'll wrap your hands in your blanket and stick it right into your mouth. When I get you out of your bed your blanket is usually soaked from you chewing on it. I have to lay it out to dry for your next nap.
Look at your eyebrows!! All of our children have had these eyebrows that are so telling. We know exactly what your thinking cuz of those things. Some people used to say you are just so serious all the time... then they see you smile and love the contrast!!
Some other stats:
You roll over both ways and scoot all over the place.
You can pretty much get anywhere you want within a 2 feet radius.
We have to make sure there are no small things on the ground cuz you are super interested in putting them in your mouth. Your hand eye coordination is good enough to accomplish the task as well.
You eat all sorts of solid foods now though I think carrots are your favorite. You are a good little eater too, you open your mouth when I say to and you swallow it great. Although you do try to put your fingers in your mouth CONSTANTLY so you sure do get messy.
You sleep at least 10 hours straight but I have coddled you a little bit so you are still used to that late night feeding at 9 or 10. Stinky!! I will get you off that though.
You make all sorts of noises and laugh all the time.
You are by far my easiest baby. I love you!!
Love Mommy

My Husband
Life so far is going better than a month or so ago. Adam is starting to feel closer to his "normal" self which means that he is able to play a more active role in our family. He is currently putting the kids to bed while I sit and do this on the computer. I love him and am so grateful for him.
Today while we were headed to Tiersa's for a swim, Katie said "My Daddy not coming wiff us?" I couldn't hear her well so I asked her what she said. "My Daddy... I mean my husband's staying home" I suppressed a laugh and said "Your husband huh?" "Ya" "Katie you don't have a husband" "Yes I do, hims at home" She finally did conciede to the fact that she does not have a husband.

We went to story time today, we listened to a book about Arthur and even got to meet him. Naturally the craft was about Arthur and later as Katie we were in the car she kept calling him marker. When I corrected her she started calling him marther. Then we got a snickers and I let her gave a bite, she said "i want more of that stickers" she kept saying it. I love it. We watched Nanny McPhee tonight and she said "that Nanny has big boobs". Yes Katie, she does, too bad you are cursed with the big boob gene too honey!!

Funny things my kids say
I was waxing my eyebrows and Katie watched me intently. My wax happens to be light blue and she asked me what I was doing. I told her then she tilted her head to the side and said "That's not bubblegum"

My Life
I am so grateful for the things the Lord has given me. I have an amazing husband and I am so blessed to have him as my best friend. We have been through quite the ordeal this past week because Adam was in the hospital for 7 days and even though we are hone we are still quite "in" it so to say. Now that we are home I am finding that all of what I have on my plate is exhausting. I am so tired and can't seem to be positive towards my hubby's pain. So after I apologized to him I got Katie up and took her potty. She put her arms around my neck and I just melted. I love her sweet little body. I got settled into bed and I heard the door to the kids room open. It was Kevin, he went straight to the bathroom tugging down his pants on the way. He of course did NOT put the seat down nor did he flush, but then again when does he ever. It just made me grateful for the opportunity I am having to be the Mom of these cute kids, who cares if they have little flaws or things they are not good at yet. With the perspective I have now I am just grateful to be home with them.
So Kevin got a new teacher at church and I had not met her yet and it had been a few weeks. My curiosity was peeked so I asked him to describe her to me. This is how the conversation went. Mom: Kevin what does your new primary teacher look like? Kevin: Um, she is old, but um not so old that she needs one of those things to keep her up. Mom: (trying not to burst out laughing)Like a walker, she doesn't need a walker? Kevin: Ya, and she sings really loud. Mom: Oh well I am excited to meet her!! I cannot tell you how cute I find this. I wish I could tell his teacher about this conversation, but I fear she would get her feelings hurt. I did meet her today, she is probably about 65 or 70... so Kevin was right, she is not so old that she needs one of those walker things.
I asked Katie if she wanted to go with me to a baby shower and she said "Ya". She got all ready with her purse, sunglasses, dollies and stroller. I was apparently taking longer than she wanted so she said, "are we going to go to the baby bath?" I corrected her but on the way to the shower she had all sorts of questions about our journey. When I explained to her that we were going to Natalie's shower she said "OH" a few minutes later she said "Collins and Natalie gonna have a baby". Poor girl was super confused about who the heck was having a baby... too many people with the same name!! When I told her that they were not having a baby, she said "Why?" I couldn't say enough to that.

Kevin started preschool on Wednesday. I was so busy with clients that I was not able to take him so Tiersa came and picked him up. My mind has been so very jumbled with all the things on my to do list that I failed to make time to take my child to preschool... how sad. Oh well he was excited to go with Ella and I managed to get ONE shot of him as he headed out (although I ran out of time to do his hair... I know worst Mom EVER... hee hee). He came home happy and with a good attitude. He has been very helpful and loving to all of us lately and I can't help but think that it is because he is a little less bored lately. He is growing up so fast and I am just so happy he is our little man. I love him so much.

Mr. Lukey Pukey has a bad cough. It woke me up a couple nights ago and scared me pretty bad when I thought it might be whooping cough. He is only 3 months old and so sweet, so him being sick just kills me. He has no other symptoms other that this bad chest cough. I started putting oils (breath, on gaurd, lemon, melelueca, and marjoram) on his chest and feet and I mixed up some red raspberry and fenugreek and thyme that I give him right before I feed him then let him wash it down with some Mommy milk. I also started running the humidifier in his room at night with oregano, purify, melalueca and lemon in it. At first his cough sounded worse, but I know my Mom always says that it usually cleanses out the bad and then gets better from there. So I set a goal that by Monday morning if he didn't sound better I would take him into the Dr. Saturday his cough sounded like it was in his chest but by yesterday (Sunday) it really sounded less in his chess but more in his throat like his throat hurt when he would cough. Today it sounds like it is just in his throat, and he is not coughing much. I can seriously say how much I love natural health aids.big-o euro tour- high end $682CostcoMichelin defender 154.99 90,000 672.87

Katie soft... Ya right
The other day Katie was playing wit a watch and she was trying to tie herself up with it. Then she turned to me and tried to tie my foot up.
She then stood up, went and grabbed a toy rifle, cocked it and pointed it at my foot. I said (in full on pretend mode) No don't shoot me!! She said "I not shoot you, I shoot that (the watch)" I of course pointed out that the watch was on my foot so shooting the watch would inevitably get my foot too. To which she replied while holding her rifle "I be soft, k" nothing like being "soft" while shooting a watch off someone's foot.
